Back in my early days of playing tabletop games, I always felt compelled to make custom character sheets for the various games we played. Without knowing it, I was taking my first steps into the world of graphic design.
When I introduced D&D to my kids last summer, I designed custom character sheets that were designed to suit our needs and gave them a bit more room to accommodate their larger handwriting.
Now, purely as a stylistic exercise, I have made character sheets for Adventures in Middle Earth which uses D&D's Open License to take us into the world of J.R.R. Tolkien. Not to confuse anyone, I have respected the general layout created by Cubicle 7 and simply given it a look and feel that fits more with my interpretation of the source material. I have also removed all lines in the text boxes since I have always feel contrived and restricted by them. Besides, they often don not suit people's writing styles. I do plan to make work sheets for Journeys which will hopefully prove handier than a blank sheet of paper.
These character sheets are entirely free, you can use them and modify them as much as you want, as long as you do not sell them of use them for any financial gain. They are for your personal gaming purposes only. You can can download them here:
